A visit to Monet's gardens at Giverny - April 2011

APRIL 2011
Whilst staying with Justin's parents in Normandy we had some fun days exploring. This unique abode is on the river in Vernon. We picnicked here en-route to Giverny and Monet's garden.
Monet's house and garden is characterised by the use of this bright green paint - looks OK here but becomes overwhelming when it's on all the many benches and rope chains that guide the hoards of tourists around the gardens.
We were there at a stunning time of year - tulips in every colour and plenty of blossom!

Somebody's favourite colour is pink!
The famous bridge (but it's not waterlily season)
And to update our family photo...
